About Rachel Barry
Rachel is a licensed clinical social worker who helps individuals find emotional well-being and inner peace through therapy. Rachel believes we often already have the answers ourselves, but a litle help from a therapist can help us find our own truth.
Therapy sessions with Rachel might include motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, strengths-based interventions, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Rachel has extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and substance use. Rachel prioritizes the individual and welcomes all cultural, religious, and political perspectives.
Rachel believes in the importance of using proper assessment tools for identifying areas of struggle, and she considers it an honor to be able to witness the growth and healing that takes place within individuals through the therapy process.
Rachel earned both her Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Social Work from Kennesaw State University. She began her career as a therapist in the hospital setting and has worked at several treatment centers in Atlanta, including Ridgeview Institute and Alana Recovery. Rachel now has the great pleasure of serving clients in private practice.
